About Us

Our Philosophy

You could speak of us as a small family business. This starts with the course location in the heart of Lisbon. Our home for 8 years has become our teaching space, providing an intimate, family atmosphere. Then there is the exclusive teaching in small groups (from two to nine participants), which allows each participant to receive all our attention. Right down to the course topics: They have been in the center of our lives for years and we are passionate about transmitting them to you.  

All our courses are primarily practical courses. In addition, each course is accompanied by a course-specific website. This not only contains all the course materials – the more theoretical part, the work steps for the individual tasks and exercises, videos, links, photos and graphics, etc. – but also links to the course websites (learning journals) of the other participants.  

Our approach is inspired by Sir Ken Robinson’s 8Cs where curiosity, compassion, composure and citizenship are added to the well-known 4Cs (critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration). With all of this, our goal is to engage our participants, to enable deep self-reflection, and to learn to think in new and different ways. On the way: Sensory competence as a prerequisite for media competence.

Our courses are primarily aimed at teachers, education providers, NGO staff and social workers, but are open to anyone interested.

Unsere Philosophie

Man könnte uns als ein kleines Familienunternehmen bezeichnen. Das fängt schon beim Kursort im Herzen von Lissabon an. Unser Zuhause, in dem wir 8 Jahre lang wohnten, ist zu einem Kursort geworden, mit einer ganz speziellen, intimen, familiären Atmosphäre. Dazu kommt der exklusive Unterricht in Kleingruppen (von zwei bis neun Personen), der es uns erlaubt, jedem Teilnehmer unsere ganze Aufmerksamkeit zu widmen. Bis hin zu den Kursthemen: Sie stehen seit Jahren im Mittelpunkt unseres Lebens und wir vermitteln sie mit Begeisterung.

Alle unsere Kurse sind primär praktische Kurse. Darüber hinaus wird jeder Kurs von einer kursspezifischen Webseite begleitet. Auf dieser finden sich nicht nur alle Kursmaterialien – der mehr theoretische Teil, die Arbeitsschritte für die einzelnen Aufgaben und Übungen, Videos, Links, Fotos und Grafiken etc – sondern sie verlinkt auch auf die Kurswebseiten (Lerntagebücher) der einzelnen TeilnehmerInnen.  

Unser Ansatz orientiert sich an den 8Cs von Sir Ken Robinson, wobei zu den bekannten 4Cs (Kritisches Denken, Kreativität, Kommunikation und Kollaboration) noch Neugier, Mitgefühl, Haltung und Bürgersinn hinzukommen. Mit all dem ist es unser Ziel, die Teilnehmer zu engagieren, ihnen eine tiefgreifende Selbstreflexion zu ermöglichen und sie dazu zu bringen, auf neue und andere Weise zu denken.

Unsere Kurse richten sich in erster Linie an Lehrer, Bildungsträger, NGO-Mitarbeiter und VHS-Mitarbeiter, sind aber offen für alle Interessierten.
